Notes before carry out DNA testing

All the people who need to do DNA test for administrative formalities must be present at CGAT offices.

When present at a CGAT office, costumers must have his/her ID card or Passport for adults, Birth Certificate or relevant documentations for children.

For Immigration, court, normally the test involves all 3 people: father, mother and child. For other cases, DNA test is carried out on the requirements of the authorities and customers concerned.

For Court cases, Decision for DNA test (issued by Courts) is mandatory document. Sampling to be carried out under the Court’s supervision.

The petitioner can be a litigant or a court staff, depending on the specific case. Test results will only be transferred only to those who requested at the time of filling out the form.

4 quick & simple steps

1. Fill the registration form

Customers bring along the ID card of the person requesting the test (to ensure that the results are returned to the right person, a measure to help ensure confidentiality of information for the benefit of the customer). Customers are required to fill in the Request Form (paper copy) or provide information for Center staff to enter the Request Form (on a computer).

2. Sampling for DNA testing

Photos are taken by CGAT staff for all members involved in DNA testing (free of charge). CGAT does not accept photos brought to CGAT by customers.

4. Payment of DNA testing fees

The customer pays for the test and receives a receipt. Results can be in Vietnamese or English, depending on the customer's request at the time of filling out the form.
